Job Description: The Operations Coordinator will focus on creating and strengthening the
Chamber’s business revenue streams, event facilitation, and membership retention.
The Operations
Coordinator will also take on the lead role in providing administrative support for Boards and
Committees.
Some key duties and responsibilities:
- Create and strengthen business revenue streams by: -
- Researching and developing new business strategies. -
- Implementing business plans. -
- Measuring revenue outcomes. Retaining current members by: -
- Coordinating annual dues process, including emailing and mailing dues, reconciling payments with accounting, sending receipts, etc. -
- Responding to member inquiries promptly via phone and email. -
- Researching and developing members’ wants and needs, and possible improvements. -
- Coordinating event registration process, including developing and testing online registration forms, entering registrations into database, sending registration confirmation, and managing the event. - Preparation of all marketing materials, kits, and forms associated with memberships.
- Providing administrative support for Boards and Committees by: -
- Scheduling and moderating meetings for sub-committees. -
- Preparation of the annual budget for the Chamber. -
- Preparation and reporting of the monthly Treasurer’s Report.
Qualifications:
- Strong marketing and sales skills. -
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. -
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. -
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Facebook, etc.) -
- Knowledge of the marketplace in which the Chamber operates. -
- Ability to work some afternoons, evenings and weekends. -
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
