We are searching for an individual who possesses the following key responsibilities and skills to work for Villeneuve Construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site testing and inspection of materials such as asphalt, aggregates, soil, and concrete to ensure compliance with project specifications and MTO standards.
• Collect field samples and perform compaction testing, density measurements, and other field-related quality control procedures.
• Verify that delivered materials meet job requirements before use and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of test results, material certifications, and inspection observations.
• Prepare and submit daily field quality control reports detailing testing activities and outcomes.
• Assist with daily lab operations, including test preparation, sampling, and recordkeeping
• Operate vehicles, including pickup trucks with trailers, to transport samples or testing equipment between job sites.
• Follow all site-specific and company health and safety protocols, and attend regular safety meetings.
• Assist with general upkeep of field-testing equipment and ensure proper storage and calibration.
• Perform other field-related quality control tasks as directed by the supervisor or quality lead.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Previous experience in a construction materials testing environment is a valuable resource.
• Familiarity with construction materials and quality control practices; knowledge of MTO standards is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel between job sites.
• Be in great physical condition
• Must possess a Valid driver’s license
